Environmental League of Massachusetts Announces Leadership Change

ELIZABETH HENRY, president of the Environmental League of Massachusetts and the ELM Action Fund, is stepping down after nearly a decade of leadership. Henry plans to work next on solutions to global decarbonization as executive director of the Blue Horizons Foundation. CASEY BOWERS, who has worked as executive director of the ELM Action Fund and executive vice president of government relations, will serve as interim president. Bowers joined ELM and the ELM Action Fund in 2018 as legislative director. She previously worked as Massachusetts director of public policy for the American Lung Association of the Northeast. "There is no better leader than Casey to sustain ELM’s culture, build its momentum, maintain its broad collaborative relationships, and drive its priorities forward," Henry wrote in a Sept. 23 announcement of the leadership change.
